A two-wheeled ride over rough and smooth terrain
mountain biking in the Fleres valley
There's a special way to practice this summer sport in the Fleres valley mountains: leisurely bike tours to the Rosskopf and surroundings, demanding trails on the slopes of 3,000 metre-high summits, or the famous border ridge round route on old military roads at the Brenner pass.
NEW in summer 2017: Rent one of our new e-bikes! Due to the pedal support you can overcome inclines without any problems.
Big frontier mountain top trail at Brennero
A classic route. The Große Grenzkammrunde (long biking trail along the mountain ridge between Italy and Austria) at Brennero is impressive because of the spectacular views. The old military roads with their constant grade are perfect for mountain bikers. Therefore, it is no wonder that this evergreen is part of some Transalp tours. Start and goal of the tour: Colle Isarco station.

Colle Isarco – Ladurns – Fleres
Starting point is Piazza Ibsen in Colle Isarco. From here, head for the train station descending the large steps of the stair down in the direction of the Fleres Valley. At km no. 2, turn left into a forest road. This road is steep at first, but then it becomes more comfortable as it stretches far into the valley, until it ends at km no. 7.2. A path leads through the woods (for expert bikers). At km no. 7.6, the forest road continues. At km no. 8.7 you will find the first possibility to leave the path and rest. The diverging route (to the left) leads to two mountain restaurants. Retour track: from the restaurants, take the same road back. At km no. 11.1 you reach the forest road again. Proceed on this road, descending slowly, until you cross the path to Inner Fleres at km no. 15.2. Warning: this is the wrong road! At km no. 15.7, you will reach another crossroad. A gently ascending road leads to the cosy Allriss pasture. From here on, the road leads downhill, first on gravel, then on tarmac. Pass the sports ground in Fleres and proceed to the outer valley until you reach Colle Isarco.
Length of trail: 29.3 km
Altitude difference: 633 m
